अम्बोपाख्याने तापसानां विचारः तथा होत्रवाहनस्य उपदेशः

अथवा पितरं मूढं यो मे5कार्षीत् स्वयंवरम् । मयायं स्वकृतो दोषो याहं भीष्मरथात् तदा
athavā pitaraṁ mūḍhaṁ yo me ’kārṣīt svayaṁvaram | mayāyaṁ svakṛto doṣo yāhaṁ bhīṣmarathāt tadā
否则，我本应制止我那愚昧迷乱的父亲——正是他为我安排了这场自择婚（svayaṃvara）。此过乃我自作：当时我，毗湿摩（Bhīṣma），立于战车之上行事，竟以那般作为促成了这桩不义。
