भीष्म–दुर्योधनसंवादः — शिखण्डिनं न हन्तुं कारणकथनम्
Amba-ākhyāna prologue
स योत्स्यति हि विक्रम्य समरे तव सैनिकै: । राजेन्द्र! राजा सेनाबिन्दुका दूसरा नाम क्रोधहन्ता भी है। प्रभो! वे भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण तथा भीमसेनके समान पराक्रमी माने जाते हैं। वे समरांगणमें तुम्हारे सैनिकोंके साथ पराक्रम प्रकट करते हुए युद्ध करेंगे
sa yotsyati hi vikramya samare tava sainikaiḥ | rājendra |
毗湿摩说道：“因为他必将出战——奋勇前进——在战场上与汝之军士交锋，噫，诸王之最！” 在此语境中，毗湿摩强调：一旦如此勇士决意显其武威，战争便难以避免；并提醒国王，兵力一经发动，便迫使人们作出沉重的义理与谋略之权衡。
