अत-४--क+ पञ्चदशो<् ध्याय: इन्द्रकी आज्ञासे इन्द्राणीके अनुरोधपर नहुषका ऋषियोंको अपना वाहन बनाना तथा बृहस्पति और अग्निका संवाद शल्य उवाच एवमुक्त: स भगवाऊ्छच्या तां पुनरब्रवीत् | विक्रमस्य न कालो<यं नहुषो बलवत्तर:
śalya uvāca | evam uktaḥ sa bhagavān śacyā tāṃ punar abravīt | vikramasya na kālo 'yaṃ nahuṣo balavattaraḥ ||
沙利耶说:舍契如此陈言之后,尊贵的因陀罗又对她说道:“女神啊,此刻并非逞勇立功之时;如今那胡沙已变得极其强盛。”
शल्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes discernment (kāla-jñāna): even justified courage must be timed wisely. Ethical action includes restraint and strategic patience when circumstances are unfavorable.
Śalya narrates that Indra, responding to Śacī’s appeal, cautions her that this is not the moment for bold action because Nahuṣa has become very powerful, implying a need for careful strategy rather than immediate confrontation.
