“今日就让俱卢众见证迦尔纳与阿周那的相会。见此相会烙印着真正的手足之情,愿恶人也低首俯伏。”
कर्ण उवाच
The verse contrasts genuine fraternal feeling (saubhrātra) with wickedness (asādhutva): when true kinship and noble conduct are displayed, the unrighteous are morally diminished and compelled to bow—suggesting that ethical stature and rightful relationship can humble arrogance.
Karṇa speaks of an imminent encounter between himself and Arjuna, envisioning it as something the Kurus will witness. He frames the meeting as bearing the mark of brotherly bond, and declares that on seeing it, the wicked will be forced into submission—an assertion of confidence and a public challenge within the tense pre-war setting.
