Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 130: Kuntī’s Instruction on Rājadharma and Daṇḍanīti

持国王说道:“其时大地尽皆震动,连大海也翻涌骚然。诸侯群王惊骇至极,噫,婆罗多族之雄牛!”
धृतराष्ट उवाच
The verse highlights how grave moral and political crises—especially those leading toward adharma and war—are portrayed as shaking the very order of the world. The rulers’ astonishment underscores that power must be guided by dharma; otherwise even nature seems to protest.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra reports a dramatic portent: the earth trembles and the ocean churns, and the gathered kings are overwhelmed with wonder. It signals an extraordinary, ominous moment in the Udyoga Parva as events move toward the great conflict.
