Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 130: Kuntī’s Instruction on Rājadharma and Daṇḍanīti
śaṅkha-cakra-gadā-śakti-śārṅga-hala-nandakāḥ—śaṅkhaḥ, cakram, gadā, śaktiḥ, śārṅga-dhanuḥ, halaḥ tathā nandaka-nāmakaḥ khaḍgaḥ—ete ūrdhva-uddhṛtāḥ sarvāyudhāni śrīkṛṣṇasya aneka-bhujāsu dīpyamānāni dṛśyante sma.
Dharma is upheld not only through counsel and diplomacy but also through the credible power to restrain injustice. Kṛṣṇa’s radiant weapons symbolize righteous authority—force that is legitimate only when aligned with protection of the good and the correction of adharma.
The narrator describes a theophanic vision of Kṛṣṇa: multiple arms holding aloft his iconic weapons, all shining brilliantly. The description heightens the moment by revealing Kṛṣṇa’s divine capacity and the seriousness of the impending conflict.
