Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 126 — Kṛṣṇa’s Indictment of Misrule and the Varuṇa Analogy (कृष्णवाक्यं–धर्मपाशदृष्टान्तः)

而且,噢,克里希纳——灭敌者——我看不出有谁真正奉行刹帝利正法,却还敢在战场上击败我们。

Educational Q&A

The verse links victory and legitimacy to kṣatriya-dharma: disciplined, rightful martial conduct is presented as a source of strength and moral confidence, implying that unrighteous or improperly grounded opponents lack the standing to prevail.

Vaiśampāyana, narrating the events, conveys a speaker’s address to Kṛṣṇa, asserting that no properly dharmic warrior would dare (or be able) to defeat their side in war—an expression of assurance amid the escalating conflict of the Udyoga Parva.
