नारद उवाच
The verse highlights discernment and responsible speech at a morally charged moment: a sage observes the seeker, the powerful helper (Garuda), and the maiden, and then chooses to respond with deliberate words—implying that counsel and decisions should follow clear perception of all parties affected.
Narada narrates that Viśvāmitra sees Galava arriving with Garuda and also notices the beautiful maiden accompanying them; prompted by this sight, Viśvāmitra begins to speak, setting up the next lines where his response and the situation’s resolution will be articulated.
