Gālava’s Eastern Ascent with Garuḍa; Counsel on Kāla and Upāya
iti śrīmahābhārate udyogaparvaṇi bhagavadyānaparvaṇi gālavacarite ekādaśādhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

As a colophon, the verse’s function is not to teach through direct instruction but to frame the reading ethically: it reminds the reader that the Mahābhārata’s political crisis (Udyoga Parva) is interpreted through exemplary narratives (such as Gālava’s), encouraging reflection on dharma in moments of negotiation, obligation, and impending conflict.
This line signals the end of a chapter: it locates the just-concluded material within Udyoga Parva, inside the Bhagavad-yāna section, and specifically within the Gālava episode, then states that the 111th chapter has concluded.
