ततः स भगवांस्तस्य स्कन््धे बाहुं समासजत् । निपपात स भारार्तों विह्नलो नष्टचेतन:,इतना कहकर भगवान् विष्णुने गरुड़के कंधेपर अपनी दाहिनी बाँह रख दी। उसके बोझसे पीड़ित एवं विह्नल होकर गरुड़ गिर पड़े। उनकी चेतना भी नष्ट-सी हो गयी
tataḥ sa bhagavāṁs tasya skandhe bāhuṁ samāsajat | nipapāta sa bhārārto vihvalo naṣṭacetanaḥ ||
于是,至福的主(毗湿奴)将一臂轻置于迦楼罗的肩上。那重量一压,迦楼罗痛苦而震颤,竟坠落在地,神识仿佛也将消散。此景昭示神威无量、不可测度;纵使最强者,面对超越纯粹力气的至上威能,也须学会谦卑。

Even extraordinary strength has limits before the Divine; true devotion includes humility and recognition that spiritual reality is not measured by physical power.
After speaking, the Lord places His arm on Garuḍa’s shoulder; the divine weight overwhelms Garuḍa, who collapses and becomes nearly unconscious.
