प्रद्धिष्टस्य कुत: श्रेयो नाप्रियो लभते फलम् | वत्सौपम्येन दोग्धव्यं राष्ट्रमक्षीणबुद्धिना
praddhiṣṭasya kutaḥ śreyo nāpriyo labhate phalam | vatsaupamyena dogdhavyaṃ rāṣṭram akṣīṇabuddhinā ||
毗湿摩说道：“为众人所憎者，何来福祉？不为百姓所爱戴的君主，得不到真正的利益。因此，判断未失的国王，应当温和而渐进地从国土取用供养——如同小牛从母牛吮乳——使国家不受损害，并保全与臣民的纽带。”
