Rājā–Rāja-Śabda-Prabhavaḥ — The Origin and Rationale of Kingship and Daṇḍanīti
तानुवाच सुरान् सर्वान् स्वयम्भूर्भगवांस्ततः । श्रेयो5हं चिन्तयिष्यामि व्येतु वो भी:सुरर्षभा:
tān uvāca surān sarvān svayambhūr bhagavāṁs tataḥ | śreyo 'haṁ cintayiṣyāmi vyetu vo bhīḥ surarṣabhāḥ ||
于是,吉祥的自生者梵天对诸神说道:“诸位天众之最,愿你们的恐惧消散。我将思惟何者为真正的利益,并筹定使你们得安稳之法。”
भीष्म उवाच
A higher authority should respond to crisis not with panic but with calm reassurance and thoughtful deliberation aimed at śreyas—true welfare—showing leadership grounded in protection and wise counsel.
Brahmā addresses the assembled gods, tells them to let go of fear, and promises to consider and determine a beneficial course of action for their well-being.
