Rāma–Jāmadagnya-janma-kāraṇa and Kṣatra-kṣaya

Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages

te vivṛddhā mahāvīryāḥ pṛthivīpatayo 'bhavan | rājan!

Educational Q&A

Power tends to consolidate: those who are allowed to survive and recover can grow into formidable rulers. Ethically, it warns that social harm is not resolved merely by temporary restraint; lasting stability requires dharmic governance and inner reform, otherwise the same forces may return stronger.

Vāsudeva addresses the king and states that “they” (a previously referenced group) increased in strength and became powerful kings. The line functions as a narrative observation about the rise of rulers from those who had earlier been spared or left unchecked.
