अणीयसामणीयांसं स्थविष्ठं च स्थवीयसाम् | गरीयसां गरिष्ठं च श्रेष्ठ च श्रेयसामपि
aṇīyasām aṇīyāṁsaṁ sthaviṣṭhaṁ ca sthavīyasām | garīyasāṁ gariṣṭhaṁ ca śreṣṭhaṁ ca śreyasām api ||
毗湿摩说:“祂比至微更微,亦比至大更大;比至重更重,同样也是一切卓越之中最为卓越者。”在关于法与解脱的教诲中,至上者被描述为超越一切比较尺度——超出寻常对大小、轻重与位阶的分别——使求道者学会敬仰绝对:既内在于最细微处,又主宰于最广大境。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse teaches the transcendence and supremacy of the Absolute: it surpasses all relative comparisons—subtlety, magnitude, weight, and excellence—so it cannot be confined to ordinary categories and should be contemplated as the highest reality underlying all.
In Śānti Parva, Bhīṣma instructs Yudhiṣṭhira on dharma and higher knowledge. Here he uses a chain of comparatives and superlatives to characterize the Supreme principle, reinforcing a contemplative, liberation-oriented frame within his counsel.
