Adhyāya 352: Brāhmaṇa–Nāga Saṃvāda — Uñchavrata-niścaya
Dialogue and the Resolve to Practice Uñchavrata

The verse foregrounds humility and reverence even among exalted beings: sincere prostration is met with gracious uplift. Ethically, it models how authority should respond to devotion—not with domination, but with compassionate elevation and affectionate instruction.
Śiva approaches and bows at Prajāpati/Brahmā’s feet. Prajāpati, pleased, lifts him up with his right hand and begins to speak to him as to a long-absent son, setting up the ensuing discourse.
