Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank
śaunaka uvāca | pāvitāḥ sma tvayā brahman puṇyāṃ kathayatā kathām | dattvā pitāmahāya agryāṃ matiṃ lokavisargikīm | tatraivāntardadhe devo yata evāgato hariḥ |
Sacred narration (puṇyā kathā) purifies the listener, and cosmic order arises through divine grace: Hari empowers Brahmā with the highest creative intelligence, then withdraws—showing that creation proceeds by delegated wisdom under the Supreme’s sovereignty.
Śaunaka acknowledges that the narrator’s holy account has purified the audience. The verse then summarizes a cosmological moment: Hari (Nārāyaṇa) grants Brahmā the supreme intellect for world-creation and immediately becomes invisible, returning to His own transcendent source.
