Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank
ददृशाते5रविन्दस्थ॑ ब्रह्माणममितप्रभम् । सृजन्तं प्रथम वेदां श्वतुरश्चारुविग्रहान्
dadṛśāte 'ravindasthe brahmāṇam amitaprabham | sṛjantaṃ prathamaṃ vedān caturāṃś cāruvigrahān ||
随后他们看见光辉无量的梵天(Brahmā),端坐莲座之上,正从事创生之业;在他近旁,又见四部吠陀(Veda)化为美妙的有形之身。此景强调《摩诃婆罗多》的伦理旨趣:宇宙秩序与法(dharma)根植于神圣知识(吠陀)与造物主有目的的作为,而非偶然与无序。
वैशग्पायन उवाच
Dharma and cosmic order are portrayed as rooted in Brahmā’s creative governance and in the Vedas as living, authoritative knowledge—suggesting that right conduct is aligned with revealed wisdom and the structure of creation.
The observers (as indicated by “they saw”) witness Brahmā seated on a lotus, actively engaged in creation, and they also see the four Vedas nearby, depicted as taking on beautiful forms.
