नागैः सह ब्राह्मणस्य अतिथिधर्म-व्रतसंवादः | The Brahmin’s Vow and the Nāgas’ Hospitality Appeal

नास्य भक्तात्‌ प्रियतरो लोके कश्नन विद्यते । ततः स्वयं दर्शितवान्‌ स्वमात्मानं द्विजोत्तम

nāsya bhaktāt priyataro loke kaścana vidyate | tataḥ svayaṃ darśitavān svam ātmānaṃ dvijottama nārada |

“在此世间,无人比主的奉爱者更为主所珍爱。故而,噢二生中之最胜者,主亲自向你显露了祂自身之真我——那罗陀。”

Educational Q&A

The Lord values devotion above all worldly distinctions; because the devotee is dearest, the Lord grants direct revelation of His own Self as an act of grace.

Nārada explains why a divine vision occurred: it happened because the Lord especially loves His devotees, and thus personally revealed His own form/essence to the addressed brāhmaṇa (dvijottama).
