The Brahmin’s Vow and the Nāgas’ Hospitality Appeal
sarvalokatamohantā ādityo dvāram ucyate | dvijaśreṣṭha! saṃsāre ye janāḥ puṇyapāparahitā nirmalāś ca, te kalyāṇamārgeṇa bhagavaddhāma prāpnuvanti; tadā samastalokāndhakāranāśakaḥ bhagavān sūrya eva teṣāṃ mokṣadhāmasya dvāram iti kathyate |

Liberation is associated with inner purity that transcends the duality of merit and sin; for such purified beings, the ‘auspicious path’ leads to the Lord’s abode, and the Sun (Āditya) is symbolically described as the cosmic threshold that dispels darkness and marks entry into the liberating realm.
Nārada is instructing a brāhmaṇa interlocutor, explaining a cosmological-ethical mapping of the journey to liberation: those who are stainless and beyond karmic dualities proceed by a благоприятный (kalyāṇa) route to the divine abode, with the Sun identified as the ‘gate’ to that mokṣa-dhāma.
