Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī
ramate so 'rcyamāno hi sadā bhāgavata-priyaḥ | viśvabhuk sarvago devo mādhavo bhakta-vatsalaḥ ||
The verse teaches that the Lord (Mādhava), though all-pervading and sustaining the universe, especially responds with joy to sincere worship and is uniquely affectionate toward devotees—highlighting the ethical value of devoted reverence and trust in divine grace.
Nārada is describing the nature of Mādhava: when devotees worship him, he delights; he is universal in presence and power, yet personally inclined toward and protective of his bhaktas.
