The verse teaches that a true sage’s word, supported by truth and ascetic merit, remains binding and effective; it underscores the ethical duty to honor Brahmanas and the sanctity of authoritative speech in dharma.
The speaker points out that the earlier pronouncement of a sage continues to operate unchanged even now, using this as evidence of the enduring potency and revered status of Brahmanas within the moral order.
