Systems of Knowledge and Vyāsa’s Nārāyaṇa-Origin
bhīṣma uvāca tataḥ sa taṃ samuddhūtaṃ bhūmipālo mahān vasuḥ | prasādayāmāsa muniṃ sadasyās te ca sarvaśaḥ ||
When anger disrupts order—especially involving a revered sage—the dharmic course for a ruler and the community is respectful conciliation and restoration of harmony, not retaliation or further provocation.
Bhishma narrates that King Vasu, along with all the members present in the assembly, tries to pacify the sage (identified in the accompanying context as Brihaspati) who has become agitated.
