Even if one gains release while living, the subtle tendency toward attachment can reassert itself; freedom requires not only breaking the external bond of birth/lineage but also uprooting renewed clinging that leads back into embodied existence.
Narada is explaining a doctrine about bondage and release: liberation from the nexus of birth is described, along with a warning that one may still become re-entangled through renewed attachment among beings entering embodiment.
