एतन्मनो<नुकूलं मे भवानहीतति भाषितुम् | सर्वज्ञ: सर्वदर्शी च सर्वत्र च कुतूहली
etan mano'nukūlaṃ me bhavān āhītati bhāṣitum | sarvajñaḥ sarvadarśī ca sarvatra ca kutūhalī |
毗湿摩说道:“你所言尽合我心。的确,唯有你堪当如此发言——全知者、全见者,并且常怀求知之心,欲遍察诸方之事。”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse underscores ethical deference to genuine wisdom: speech that aligns with dharma and sound understanding is best received from one who is discerning, far-seeing, and sincerely inquisitive.
Bhishma responds approvingly to a prior speaker’s words, affirming that the statement matches his own understanding and praising the speaker’s qualities—omniscience, clear vision, and a constant desire to know.
