जटाश्न तेजसा तस्य वैश्वानरशिखोपमा: । प्रज्वलन्त्य: सम दृश्यन्ते युक्तस्यामिततेजस:,योगयुक्त हुए अमित तेजस्वी व्यासजीकी जटाएँ उनके तेजसे आगकी लपटोंके समान प्रज्वलित दिखायी देती थीं
jaṭāś ca tejasā tasya vaiśvānara-śikhopamāḥ | prajvalantyaḥ sama dṛśyante yuktasyāmitatejasaḥ ||
毗湿摩说道:凭借他内在光明的威力,他那纠结的发髻(结发)宛如祭火的焰舌,仿佛熊熊燃起。那位光辉无量、入于瑜伽的圣者,其发髻便是如此可见。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical-spiritual ideal that disciplined yoga and tapas generate tejas (inner radiance), which manifests outwardly as a sign of mastery over the senses and concentrated consciousness.
Bhīṣma describes the awe-inspiring appearance of the sage Vyāsa: while absorbed in yoga, his matted locks seem to blaze like flames, emphasizing his extraordinary spiritual potency.
