The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin
ततो5हमत्रवं राजन् पर्वतं शुभदर्शनम् । सर्वमेतत् त्वयि विभो भागिनेयोपपद्यते,राजन! तब मैंने शुभदर्शी पर्वत मुनिसे कहा--“भगिनीपुत्र! यह सब तुम्हें ही शोभा देता है
tato ’ham atravaṁ rājan parvataṁ śubhadarśanam | sarvam etat tvayi vibho bhāgineyopapadyate ||
于是,哦大王,我对相貌吉祥的圣者帕尔瓦塔说道:“哦伟力之人,外甥啊!这一切确实唯独与你相称。”
नारद उवाच
The verse emphasizes propriety in judgment and speech: honour, praise, and recognition should be directed to the truly deserving person—what is ‘fitting’ (upapadyate) should align with merit and dharma.
Narada, addressing the king, recounts that he spoke to the sage Parvata (described as pleasing to behold) and told him—using the kinship address ‘bhāgineya’—that certain qualities or honours ‘all befit you’.
