The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin
एवमुक्तस्तु शक्रेण वज्ञ: परपुरञण्जय: । कुमारमन्तरप्रेक्षी नित्यमेवान्वपद्यत,इन्द्रके ऐसा कहनेपर शत्रुओंकी नगरीपर विजय पानेवाला वज्र मौका देखता हुआ सदा उस राजकुमारके आस-पास ही रहने लगा
evam uktas tu śakreṇa vajraḥ parapurañjayaḥ | kumāram antaraprekṣī nityam evānvapadyata ||
受释迦(因陀罗)如此吩咐后,金刚杵——素以攻克敌城而闻名——便伺机窥隙,自此常伴那王子左右,警觉守候,随时待命。
पर्वत उवाच
Once a duty is entrusted by a rightful authority, one should remain steadfast, vigilant, and ready—seeking the proper moment to act while maintaining constant protective presence.
After Indra speaks, the Vajra (thunderbolt), famed for overcoming enemy strongholds, stays close to a prince, watching for the right opportunity and continually attending him.
