सुवर्णष्ठीविनोपाख्यानम्

The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin

कुरुश्रेष्ठ उसका वह अत्यन्त अद्भुत वृत्तान्त सारे जगतमें फैल गया। देवराज इन्द्रको भी यह मालूम हो गया कि वह बालक महर्षि पर्वतके वरदानका फल है ।।

tataḥ svābhibhavād bhīto bṛhaspatimate sthitaḥ | kumārasya antarprekṣī babhūva balavṛtrahā ||

噢,俱卢族中的至杰者,那极其奇异的传闻传遍了天下。天帝因陀罗也得知:那孩子乃大圣仙帕尔瓦塔所赐恩愿之果。于是因陀罗——诛灭婆罗与弗利陀罗者——惧怕将来被其压倒,依从布里哈斯帕提之谋,开始窥伺时机,欲对那位王子下手。
