अध्याय २९७ — श्रेयः, धृति, दान-नियमाः
Welfare, Steadfastness, and Norms of Giving
न चैशि: पुण्यकर्माणो युज्यन्ते चाभिसंधिजै: । एवंविधैश्व बहुभिरपरै: प्राकृतेरपि,पुण्यकर्म करनेवाले मनुष्य इस तरहके उपायोंसे प्राण नहीं देते तथा ऐसे-ऐसे दूसरे अधम उपायोंसे भी उनकी मृत्यु नहीं होती
na caiśiḥ puṇyakarmāṇo yujyante cābhisaṃdhijaiḥ | evaṃvidhaiś ca bahubhir aparaiḥ prākṛter api ||
帕罗沙罗说道：专心于功德善业之人，不会因人为编造、阴谋算计的手段而走到尽头；他们也不会因许多同类卑劣之法而灭亡——那些手段不过出自世俗常情的凡庸本性。此偈昭示一种伦理之见：以德为本的生命，不易被琐碎的诡计与卑鄙的权谋所倾覆。
