Bhīṣma–Yudhiṣṭhira Dialogue
सौवर्ण राजतं चापि यथा भाण्डं निषिच्यते । तथा निषिच्यते जनन््तुः पूर्वकर्मवशानुग:
sauvarṇaṃ rājataṃ cāpi yathā bhāṇḍaṃ niṣicyate | tathā niṣicyate jantuḥ pūrvakarmavaśānugaḥ ||
波罗舍罗说道：“正如器皿镀上金或银的涂层，便显得仿佛由那金银所成；众生亦如是，被先前之业所‘覆染’。为往昔行为之力所系缚，人便被自己曾作之业所标记——染于福德则受乐，染于罪业则受苦。”
