Chapter 29
यः सहस््रं सहस्राणां गजानां पद्ममालिनाम्
yaḥ sahasraṃ sahasrāṇāṃ gajānāṃ padmamālinām
风神伐由说道:“那能与成千上万头佩戴莲花花鬘的大象相抗衡之人……”
वायुदेव उवाच
The line uses epic hyperbole to frame extraordinary strength and heroic capacity; ethically, such praise in the Mahābhārata often serves to highlight the ideal of controlled power—might that should be aligned with dharma rather than mere domination.
Vāyudeva is speaking and begins (or continues) a laudatory description of a figure’s prowess, comparing him to someone capable of facing innumerable elephants decorated for display or ceremony.
