Adhyāya 283: Varṇa-vṛtti, Nyāya-ārjana, and the Decline-and-Restoration of Dharma (वर्णवृत्तिः न्यायार्जनं च)
एवं ब्रुवाणां भगवान् स पत्नीं प्रह्ष्टरूप: क्षुभितामुवाच । न वेत्सि मां देवि कृशोदराड्ि कि नाम युक्त वचनं मखेशे
evaṁ bruvāṇāṁ bhagavān sa-patnīṁ prahṛṣṭa-rūpaḥ kṣubhitām uvāca | na vetsi māṁ devi kṛśodarī kiṁ nāma yuktaṁ vacanaṁ makheśe ||
当妻子如此激愤而言时，圣尊（商羯罗）与其夫人同在，面容因欢喜而明朗，遂对她说道：“噢，女神，纤腰者，你并未真正认识我。我乃一切祭祀之主。你也不明白，谈及祭祀之主时，何种言辞才算相称。”
