Steady-minded, regular recitation of a sacred/meaningful narrative—done with concentration and without dejection—is presented as a disciplined practice that supports freedom from illness, inner joy, and the attainment of one’s intended aims.
Bhīṣma concludes a section about the origin of fever with a phalaśruti (statement of benefits), declaring that one who continually recites this account with focused attention becomes disease-free, happy, and successful in obtaining desired goals.
