धनुरादाय बाणेन तदान्वसरत प्रभु: । यज्ञको मृगका रूप धारण करके भागते देख भगवान्‌ शिवने धनुष हाथमें लेकर अपने बाणके द्वारा उसका पीछा किया

Transliteration

dhanur ādāya bāṇena tadānv asarat prabhuḥ |

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“于是主神执起弓来，以一箭追逐他。见那祭祀之灵——化作鹿形——奔逃而去，湿婆大神手持神弓，发出神矢紧随其后。此事昭示：纵在神圣的祭祀之中，欺诳与扰乱法（dharma）者，亦必迅即为神威所制。”
