Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
महत्त्वं योगिनां चैव महामायत्वमेव च । महाबलत्वं च तथा तेजश्चाग्र्यं सुरेश्वर,सुरेन्द्र! उन्होंने इसे योगियोंकी महिमा, महा-मायावीपन, महान् बल-पराक्रम तथा सर्वश्रेष्ठ तेज प्रदान किया है
mahattvaṃ yogināṃ caiva mahāmāyatvam eva ca | mahābalatvaṃ ca tathā tejaś cāgryaṃ sureśvara, surendra |
摩醯首罗说道:“诸神之主啊,因陀罗啊——他所受赐者乃:瑜伽行者之崇高威德,至上幻力(摩耶)之权能,雄浑之力与勇武,以及冠绝一切的光辉。”
महेश्वर उवाच
The verse enumerates hallmark attainments associated with perfected yogic and divine empowerment—spiritual greatness, mastery of māyā (creative/illusory power), extraordinary strength, and supreme radiance—implying that inner discipline and divine favor culminate in both ethical-spiritual eminence and potent capability.
Maheśvara addresses Indra (sureśvara/surendra), listing the distinguished powers or qualities that are said to be granted or recognized—framing yogins’ stature and divine capacities in a discourse on higher attainments within Śānti Parva’s reflective teachings.
