न दृष्टपूर्व प्रत्यक्ष परलोकं विदुर्बुधा: । आगरमांस्त्वनतिक्रम्य श्रद्धातव्यं बुभूषता

Transliteration

na dṛṣṭapūrvaṃ pratyakṣaṃ paralokaṃ vidur budhāḥ | āgamāṃs tv anatikramya śraddhātavyaṃ bubhūṣatā ||

Translation

阇那迦说道：智者知彼世既非诸根所能亲见，亦非昔曾目睹之物。即便如此，求自身至善者，不应违越圣典之戒令；当信受其所教所诫。
