Jvarotpatti — The Origin and Distribution of Jvara

Fever

Educational Q&A

Creation of embodied beings proceeds through the five elemental principles, with Time functioning as a sixth factor; attributing the body’s material cause to anything other than these is presented as false.

In a didactic exchange, Asita instructs Nārada on cosmological principles: the five enduring elemental ‘masses of tejas’ and the role of Time, under the Supreme Self’s impetus, in bringing forth living beings.
