Kapila–Cow Dialogue: Authority of Householder and Renunciant Dharmas
अहन्यहनि चागत्य ततस्तौ तस्य मूर्थनि । आश्वासितौ निवसत: सम्प्रहृष्टो तदा विभो
ahany ahani cāgatya tatas tau tasya mūrdhani | āśvāsitau nivasataḥ samprahṛṣṭau tadā vibho ||
毗湿摩说道:“日复一日,那一对鸟儿外出又归来;就在他的头顶之上,它们安歇栖止。于那庇护处得安稳与无惧,它们便居于其上,满怀欢喜,伟力者啊。”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical power of offering refuge: when a strong person provides consistent safety and reassurance, even vulnerable beings live without fear and flourish. Dharma is shown not only in grand acts but in daily, reliable protection.
A pair of birds repeatedly goes out each day and returns to the same protector, settling on his head to rest. Because they feel assured and safe there, they remain happily in that place.
