Tūlādhāra–Jājali: Faith, Non-harm, and Renunciation of Rivalry
Sthāṇur uvāca: saṃhārārthaṃ prasīdasva mā krudho vibudheśvara | mā prajāḥ sthāvaraṃ caiva jaḍaṃ ca vyāninaśat ||
Even when destruction seems justified, righteous governance of power requires restraint: anger must be checked and compassion extended to all beings, so that punishment or dissolution does not become total, indiscriminate annihilation.
A divine figure addressed as Vibudheśvara is being urged to calm down. Sthāṇu petitions him to abandon wrath intended for ‘saṃhāra’ (destruction), warning that unchecked anger could wipe out all existence—movable and immovable, even the inert.
