राजधर्मः—राष्ट्ररक्षणं, दण्डनीतिः, हयग्रीवोपाख्यानम्

कालेन शीघ्रा: प्रवहन्ति वाता: कालेन वृष्टिर्जलदानुपैति । कालेन पद्मोत्पलवज्जलं च कालेन पुष्यन्ति वनेषु वृक्षा:
kālena śīghrāḥ pravahanti vātāḥ kālena vṛṣṭir jaladānupaiti | kālena padmotpalavaj jalaṃ ca kālena puṣyanti vaneṣu vṛkṣāḥ ||
毗耶娑说道：“应时则疾风奔涌；应时则雨云来集而倾注甘霖。应时则红莲与青莲出于水中；应时则林木在森林里茁壮繁茂。由此可知，世间秩序为时间所统摄；智者当与那被命定的节律相应，而不为急躁或绝望所驱。”
