राजधर्मः—राष्ट्ररक्षणं, दण्डनीतिः, हयग्रीवोपाख्यानम्

नाकालतो भानुरुपैति योगं नाकालतो3स्तंगिरिमभ्युपैति | नाकालतो वर्धते हीयते च चन्द्र: समुद्रो5पि महोर्मिमाली
na kālato bhānur upaiti yogaṃ na kālato ’staṅgirim abhyupaiti | na kālato vardhate hīyate ca candraḥ samudro ’pi mahormimālī ||
毗耶娑说：太阳不在未至其时便与天际相接，也不在未至其时便趋向落山之处。同样，月亮不在非时而盈亏；即便那以巨浪为冠的海洋，也不在不当之时汹涌翻腾。由是可知，世间伟力皆在时间的统摄下运行；故当以忍耐与合宜而行，不可强逼结果，逆违所定之刻。
