राजधर्मः—राष्ट्ररक्षणं, दण्डनीतिः, हयग्रीवोपाख्यानम्
Royal Duty: Protection, Penal Policy, and the Hayagrīva Exemplum
नाकालमत्ता: खगपन्नगाश्न मृगद्विपा: शैलमृगाश्न लोके । नाकालत: स्त्रीषु भवन्ति गर्भा नायान्त्यकाले शिशिरोष्णवर्षा:
nākālamattāḥ khaga-pannagāś ca mṛga-dvipāḥ śaila-mṛgāś ca loke | nākālataḥ strīṣu bhavanti garbhā na yānty akāle śiśiroṣṇa-varṣāḥ ||
毗耶娑说：在此世间，飞鸟与蛇类、野兽与大象，乃至山中之鹿，皆非其时不致狂躁。妇人亦不在非时受孕；冬、夏与雨季，也不在未至之期先行到来。由是可知，时间之秩序统摄一切众生——当以忍耐与明辨而行，不可躁急，亦不可紊乱其序。
