Transliteration

vārṣika-saṃcayaṃ kecit kecid dvādaśa-vārṣikam | kurvanty atithi-pūjārthaṃ yajña-tantrārtham eva vā ||

Translation

毗耶娑说：有人储粮一年，有人则积蓄足供十二年。然而此等积聚并非出于贪欲，而是为正法之用——为礼敬来宾（atithi），并使祭祀之业（yajña）得以如法成办。
