जिससे यह सम्पूर्ण जगत् व्याप्त है, वह एक परमात्मा ही समस्त चराचर प्राणियोंके भीतर निवास करता है ।। सर्वभूतेषु चात्मानं सर्वभूतानि चात्मनि । यदा पश्यति भूतात्मा ब्रह्म सम्पद्यते तदा
sarvabhūteṣu cātmānaṃ sarvabhūtāni cātmani | yadā paśyati bhūtātmā brahma sampadyate tadā ||
毗耶娑说:当内在之我——住于众生之中的灵——见自我遍在一切众生,又见一切众生皆在自我之中之时,则此知者,其觉知已成普遍,便证得梵(Brahman)。此一见地的伦理力量,在于消融隔阂:当人认出每个生命中同一真实时,伤害、憎恨与傲慢便失其根基。
व्यास उवाच
Liberation arises from direct realization of non-separateness: seeing the same Self in all beings and all beings in the Self. This vision culminates in attaining Brahman and grounds an ethic of non-harm and universal regard.
In the Śānti Parva’s instruction on peace and liberation, Vyāsa states a contemplative criterion for spiritual fulfillment: when one’s perception shifts from division to the all-pervading Self, one reaches Brahman.
