प्रलय-प्रक्रिया (Pralaya Process) — Guṇa-Withdrawal and Pratisaṃcara
“शतक्रतो! जब सूर्य एक स्थान अर्थात् ब्रह्मलोकमें ही स्थित होकर नीचेके सम्पूर्ण लोकोंको ताप देने लगेंगे, उस समय देवासुरसंग्राममें मैं तुम्हें अवश्य जीत लूँगा-” ।।
śakra uvāca — brahmaṇo 'smi samādiṣṭo na hantavyo bhavān iti; tena te 'haṃ bale vajraṃ na vimuñcāmi mūrdhani.
释迦罗(因陀罗)说道:“我奉梵天之命:你不可被杀。故而,婆罗啊,我不将我的金刚杵(雷霆之器)掷向你的头顶。”
शक्र उवाच
Power must be governed by dharma: even when one has the capacity to strike, one should refrain if a higher moral or authoritative injunction forbids harm. Obedience to rightful command and self-restraint are presented as superior to mere martial success.
Indra (Śakra) addresses Bala and explains why he is not hurling the vajra at Bala’s head: Brahmā has instructed him that Bala is not to be killed, so Indra restrains his weapon despite the context of conflict.
