मनुरुवाच — इन्द्रिय-मनः-ज्ञान-क्रमः
Manu on the hierarchy of senses, mind, and knowledge
जप्यस्य च विधिं कृत्स्नं वक्तुमहसि मेडनघ । जापका इति किज्चैतत् सांख्ययोगक्रियाविधि:
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | japyasya ca vidhiṁ kṛtsnaṁ vaktum arhasi medānagha | jāpaka iti kiṁ caitat sāṅkhyayogakriyāvidhiḥ, anagha! | avamānena kurute na prīyati na hṛṣyati | īdṛśo jāpako yāti nirayaṁ nātra saṁśayaḥ ||
尤提希提罗说道：“无垢者啊，请为我详说持诵（japa）的全法。所谓‘持诵者’（jāpaka）究竟指什么？这是数论（Sāṅkhya）之行，还是瑜伽禅定之行，抑或仪轨修持（kriyā）之行？” “若以轻慢之心而行持诵，对其既无爱敬亦无欢喜，如此之‘持诵者’必堕地狱；此中无疑。”
