भृगु–भरद्वाजसंवादः: वर्णभेदस्य कर्माधारितव्याख्या

न केनचित्‌ प्रवादेन सत्येनैवापहारिणा । धर्मायोत्तिष्ठ विप्रर्षे नात्मानं त्यक्तुमहसि

na kenacit pravādena satyenaivāpahāriṇā | dharmāyottiṣṭha viprarṣe nātmānaṃ tyaktum arhasi ||

毗湿摩说道:“莫因任何指控而弃绝自身(莫起舍命之念)——纵然那指控属实,足以夺去你的名誉。噢,婆罗门仙(brahmarshi),为达摩而起身;你不配自我放弃。应当在正法的行持中坚定不移,不要向绝望或世间的羞辱屈服。”
