अतः युवावस्थामें ही सबको धर्मका आचरण करना चाहिये; क्योंकि जीवन निःसंदेह अनित्य है। धर्माचरण करनेसे इस लोकमें मनुष्यकी कीर्तिका विस्तार होता है और परलोकमें भी उसे सुख मिलता है ।।

ataḥ yuvāvasthāyām eva sarvaiḥ dharmasya ācaraṇaṁ kartavyaṁ; jīvanaṁ hi niḥsaṁdeham anityam. dharmācaraṇena iha loke manuṣyasya kīrtiḥ vistṛyate, paraloke ca tasya sukhaṁ bhavati. mohena hi samāviṣṭaḥ putra-dārārtham udyataḥ, kṛtvā kāryam akāryaṁ vā puṣṭim eṣāṁ prayacchati.

因此,人人当于少壮之时便修行达摩,因为生命确然无常。奉行达摩,则此世名声远播,彼世亦得安乐。然而为迷妄所覆之人,却只为子与妻奔走;该做的做,不该做的也做,只为供养维持他们。
