कर्म यच्छुभमेवेह सद्धिराचरितं च यत् । तदेव ज्ञानयुक्तस्य मुनेर्वर्त्म न हीयते
karma yacchubham eveha saddhir ācaritaṃ ca yat | tad eva jñānayuktasya muner vartma na hīyate ||

भीष्म उवाच
The verse teaches that wisdom is expressed through conduct: the truly knowledgeable sage naturally follows only auspicious actions validated by the practice of the virtuous, and such a person does not deviate from that dharmic path.
In the Shanti Parva’s instruction on dharma and right living, Bhishma continues advising on ethical standards, grounding the sage’s way in śubha karma and the established conduct (ācāra) of good people.
