अध्याय १५२: लोभः पापस्य मूलम् — Greed as the Root of Wrongdoing

सो<हं न केनचिच्चार्थी त्वां च धर्मादुपाह्दये । क्रोशतां सर्वभूतानां हाहा धिगिति जल्पताम्‌

Transliteration

so ’haṃ na kenacit cārthī tvāṃ ca dharmād upāhvaye | krośatāṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ hāhā dhig iti jalpatām ||

Translation

舍乌那迦说道：“我不为自身之利向任何人求取一物；我请你前来，只为正法（Dharma）之故。纵使一切众生都向我呼号反对——哀叹‘哎呀，哎呀！’并投来‘可耻！’之辱骂——我也将无视其喧嚣，仍旧召你而来，因为唯有义与法是我的缘由。”
